Narrative: What does the clip suggest about this particular storyline for Waterloo Road? What do you expect to happen? How might the new character impact on existing storylines?
I expect the school to eventually get better with the students, grades and the teachers themselves and this is how exactly the new character might impact the whole waterloo storyline.

Character: What school-based stereotypes can you recognise in the clip? How does the clip introduce the new characters in the show?
The typical school based stereotypes are that there is always 1 smart kid,1 or even a few trouble makers,1 really cool kid and also that some schools are more controlled by the students and their behaviour then the actual teachers and head master of the school. And the clip introduces the new characters into the show as a bit lost as the school is basically run by the students.

Iconography: What elements of the clip help to quickly introduce the school subgenre of TV Drama?
The clip helps people to realise that the subgenre is a "TV Drama" by showing us all the action/gossip that happens in this school despite the fact the students are their to learn.

Setting: How does the clip quickly introduce the school setting?
The clip introduces the school setting as uncontrolled by the teachers but also letting the teachers social life interact with their teaching life. Their uniform is scruffy  and this presents the students as non professional and trampy.
